ABOUT
Dan Barnsley is a UK based broadcast video director and camera operator who has worked with some of the most recognised names in the christian music industry including Bethel Music, Jesus Culture and Upperroom. He is a passionate worshiper who uses his craft as an instrument of praise and longs to see people encounter the presence of God.
As a musician and filmmaker, Dan experienced how God meets us in the middle of creativity. His life was changed when he served on a production team that encouraged him to worship as he worked and to partner with the Holy Spirit behind the camera. It became a duet, asking what Holy Spirit was doing, where to look, and how to capture His heart. Sometimes that even involved making space to put down the camera to lift his hands in worship. Those were moments of real encounter, and Dan wants to cultivate a culture that allows space for that kind of presence-led service.
HISTORY
Dan grew up in the UK but served at Bethel Church in Redding California as the Production Team Pastor, Video Director and Engineer. In his role he oversaw the production team volunteers where he helped grow them spiritually and technically. As a video director, he lead productions and cut live broadcasts. During his time he also helped oversee the upgrade of Bethel’s broadcast system to 4K as well as helping to cultivate their broadcast style. Previously to this he completed 3 years of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and worked as a videographer. He has now moved back to the UK after getting married and is passionate to capture God move in his home country.
PASSION
Dan has a passion for building healthy, passionate teams who value presence, honour and excellence. His heart is to capture God move and to create spaces were people can encounter Him. Whether directing worship services or pastoring volunteers, he carries a deep conviction that excellence flows from intimacy with God.
Now working freelance, Dan offers broadcast directing, camera operating, and production consulting services for churches, ministries, and creative teams based in the UK. His goal is to help others build environments that carry both technical excellence and worship.
